Vice Ganda also defended co-host Anne Curtis, saying the actress was not conscious about the controversy surrounding Salvador for allegedly dating actor Gerald Anderson, the ex-boyfriend of her best friend and "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" co-star Kim Chiu.
On the January 23 episode of "It's Showtime", Curtis and the rest of the hosts were making fun of Vice Ganda for flirting with a member of the audience.
Vhong Navarro told the comedian: "Allan, Allandi mo."
Curtis then added: "Uy, hindi. Siya yata si Maja...Majarot ka!" with the word a play on the Tagalog term for wild.
After Curtis's joke, the term "majarot" became widely used on social media sites such as Twitter, with some netizens using it to make fun of Salvador. However, Curtis apologized to Salvador on the Thursday episode of “It’s Showtime.”
In an interview with “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday, Vice Ganda also apologized for the joke.
