A handful of Kapamilya stars posed for “mugshots” to express their support for the transfer of an elderly elephant in the Manila Zoo to a sanctuary in Thailand.
Popular love team Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, couple Gerald Anderson and Maja Salvador, and other ABS-CBN talents Sam Milby, Shaina Magdayao, Enrique Gil and Piolo Pascual held “prison-like” cards which showed their names, followed by the statement “wants Mali freed.”
Mali is an elephant at the Manila Zoo said to be suffering from a potentially fatal foot problem and profound loneliness.
The ads featuring the Kapamilya stars were conceptualized by the animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
