Maja Salvador admitted that she is still not in speaking terms with former bestfriend Kim Chiu since she started dating Gerald Anderson. In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, June 2, Salvador revealed that she is still not in good terms with her “Ina Kapatid Anak” co-star Kim Chiu despite the 'reconciliation' scene in their teleserye. Here is the excerpt of the interview: Boy: “Gaano kahirap ‘yung kasama mo si Kim bawat taping, bawat eksena halos?” Maja Salvador finally confirmed in a television interview that she is in a relationship with actor Gerald Anderson. "Yes." Salvador told "Bandila" host Boy Abunda, who asked if Gerald is her boyfriend. The "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" star added that she believes Anderson "is worth fighting for." Asked if she is willing to give up everything for the actor, Salvador said: "Hindi porket nagmamahal ka, may kailangan kang i-give up. Wala. Wala kang dapat i-give up. Fight lang nang fight." In a teaser posted by Star Studio magazine for its June 2013 issue, Anderon was quoted as saying "Yes, I’m in love with Maja Salvador. Yes, she’s my girlfriend."
Erstwhile best friends Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu had a showdown anew as they opened the musical variety show “ASAP” on Sunday.
The "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" co-stars, who have been embroiled in a controversy involving actor Gerald Anderson, performed Rihanna’s hit "Diamonds." This is not the first time that they performed the pop song together. Last May 7, Salvador and Chiu also shared the stage as they sang the Rihanna hit during ABS-CBN’s "60 Years of Television" trade event. In both instances, observers said the two did not even made eye contact as they went on with their production number. Amid their reported tiff that has been ongoing for months now, actresses Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu appeared on screen together to promote the nearing finale of their primetime series "Ina Kapatid Anak."
Ertswhile best friends Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu shared the same stage early this week during the "60 Years of Television" Trade Event of ABS-CBN.
The "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" co-stars, who have been embroiled in a controversy involving actor Gerald Anderson, performed the pop hit "Diamonds" at the NBC Tent in Taguig City before advertisers last Tuesday. A video of their performance was published by ABS-CBN's official YouTube page on Saturday (seen above). Shortly after their performance last Tuesday, the two reportedly evaded questions as to whether there is chance of reconciliation between them. Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador are seen in a tearful reconciliation, not in real life, but as Celyn and Margaux - their famous characters in "Ina Kapatid Anak". Celyn (Kim) and Margaux (Maja) are caught in a bitter feud, initially over Celyn's falling for her best friend's partner (Enchong Dee). Their tiff later escalates with the revelation that Celyn is the biological daughter of Margaux's apparent foster parents Beatrice and Julio (Janice de Belen and Ariel Rivera). The rivalry of the two lead characters intensified with the revelation that they are in fact biological twins - the children of Julio and Beatrice, given birth to by the latter's half-sister Theresa (Cherry Pie Picache), who had volunteered to be a surrogate mother. In the latest episodes of the series, Margaux's hatred towards Celyn grows when herfriend and confidant Liam (Xian Lim) falls in love with her twin. The warring sides, however, are set to finally reconcile, as seen in a preview released Wednesday night (see above) for an upcoming episode of "Ina, Kapatid, Anak." A tearful Margaux tells Celyn: "Hindi ko alam kung paano ako hihingi ng tawad for hurting you. I'm sorry, Celyn. I am so sorry." Maja Salvador took the “ASAP” stage on Sunday to perform Zedd’s newest song “Clarity” as part of the Kapamilya actress’ celebration of her 10th year in show business. After her song-and-dance number, her rumored boyfriend Gerald Anderson surprised her by appearing onstage with a big bouquet of roses -- the first time the couple appeared together on TV. Asked what he wants to tell Salvador, Anderson said: “Happy anniversary sa 'yo. Deserved mo lahat ng blessings na mayroon ka, lahat ng fans mo. Napakabait mo sa pamilya mo, sa akin, kaya deserved mo lahat iyan. I'll always be here to protect you kaya huwag ka mag-alala.” To which Salvador replied: “Thank you dumating ka sa buhay ko.” An impersonator of actress Maja Salvador joined the celebrity look-alike segment of "It's Showtime" on Saturday.
Appearing as the Kapamilya actress' character in the hit series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak, " 22-year-old "KalokaLike" contestant Jannine Grejalvo re-enacted a scene from the top-rating series for her talent portion. "Salvador" drew cheers from the studio audience as she got a chance to meet "Budoy" at the noontime variety program. Without confirming whether she and Gerald Anderson are already a couple, Maja Salvador on Monday said she is hoping the public would just let her be happy. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Salvador said: “Gusto ko pong sagutin [ang tanong kung kami na] pero sana po hayaan niyo na lang muna ako kung ano ang nakikita niyong ngiti sa akin ngayon.” Despite this, Salvador admitted she is glad that Anderson considers her an inspiration. “Nakakatuwa na may isang tao na nag-a-appreciate sa kung ano man 'yung meron kami. Isa siya sa mga taong nagiging masaya kapag kasama ako. So ang sarap lang na may mga tao kang napapasaya at isa siya doon.” she said. Salvador has been the subject of online bashing even since she was rumored to be in a relationship with Anderson, the former boyfriend of her "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" co-star and best friend, Kim Chiu.
Salvador broke down in an interview aired on "Showbiz Inside Report" over the weekend. But despite the hate messages, Salvador said she is choosing to remain strong for her loved ones. |
